Role Overview

This position combines responsibilities across both user experience research and user interface design. You will engage in tasks ranging from simplifying intricate decision-making workflows to refining design elements like typography, spacing, and motion to ensure interactions feel seamless. Reporting directly to the Head of Design, you will be instrumental in crafting the complete shopper interface, from initial ideas through to final production-ready designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop intuitive, end-to-end product experiences encompassing discovery, concept development, and polished user interfaces.
• Translate complex user challenges into straightforward and elegant interaction flows.
• Create detailed, high-fidelity visual interfaces emphasizing typography, layout, spacing, color, and visual hierarchy.
• Build interactive prototypes to present ideas, test assumptions, and refine user experiences prior to development.
• Incorporate motion design and micro-interactions strategically to enhance clarity, user feedback, and delight.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to maintain consistency and quality between design and final product.
• Contribute to the growth and maintenance of the company’s design system, including components, tokens, patterns, and documentation.
• Leverage AI technologies throughout your design workflow to generate concepts, accelerate prototyping, and increase design quality.
• Observe actual shoppers interacting with the product in-store and convert behavioral insights into improved interface designs.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience designing digital products, combining both UX and UI expertise.
• Strong skills in user experience design, particularly the ability to simplify complex processes.
• Excellent visual design capabilities covering typography, layout, spacing, color theory, and hierarchy.
• Experience developing and refining scalable design systems using reusable components, tokens, and patterns.
• Proficiency with Figma, prototyping tools, and contemporary product design workflows.
• Solid understanding of interaction design principles, usability, and accessibility standards.
• Comfortable integrating AI tools into everyday design tasks.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Motion design expertise including knowledge of meaningful animation for interaction.
• Familiarity with Tokens Studio, design-to-code processes, and collaboration with frontend development.
• Experience extending design influence into brand systems and visual identity.
• Background in designing AI-driven or consumer-focused products.
