About Mandai Wildlife Group
Mandai Wildlife Group manages the Mandai Wildlife Reserve in Singapore, a unique destination featuring renowned wildlife parks that connect visitors to the animal kingdom. The Group is executing an inspiring rejuvenation project integrating five wildlife parks, various nature-based experiences, green public spaces, and an eco-friendly resort next to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver consistent and appropriate husbandry, care, feeding, training, enrichment, and presentations to uphold the highest animal welfare standards pursuant to the Group’s Animal Welfare Code.
- Detect and report any irregularities, possible health issues, or behavioral concerns in the animals promptly.
- Complete daily documentation including feeding schedules, weights, behavior observations, training progress, and enrichment activities as mandated.
- Identify maintenance needs and report any repair or renovation requirements.
- Ensure top-quality animal presentations and interactive guest programs aiming at conservation awareness.
- Engage actively in animal shows as a presenter, handler, or support staff backstage.
- Conduct training for assigned animals and behaviors, meeting established deadlines.
- Participate in team discussions to innovate and develop new behaviors, routines, and presentation concepts for shows and programs.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Minimum education qualification: 'N' Level.
- Prior experience in animal care, veterinary medicine, training, or show presentations is desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Motivated team player with effective collaboration abilities.
- Comfortable presenting before audiences and working hands-on with animals.
- Capable of contributing ideas towards enhancing show presentations.
- Availability to work on weekends and public holidays.
