About the Role and Company

Medpace Clinical Research India is expanding its software development capabilities as part of growing its IT department in Mumbai. The Software Development Manager plays a critical role in advancing Medpace's clinical and administrative software modernization, serving internal and external clients efficiently. Medpace is a global clinical contract research organization providing Phase I-IV development services across pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical devices, with expertise in oncology, cardiology, metabolic diseases, and more.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead software engineers and oversee software development projects ensuring delivery of robust, high-quality software solutions.
• Gather, analyze, and document the requirements of users thoroughly.
• Manage projects to maintain system quality and content governance.
• Collaborate with organization-wide leadership on software development initiatives.
• Design, modify, develop, implement, support, and document software applications.
• Engage in quality assurance including code reviews, test planning, and validation.
• Provide training for software engineers and end users.
• Identify current process weaknesses and suggest improvements for efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of eight years software development experience, including at least three years leading projects.
• At least two years serving in a technical lead or people management capacity.
• Proven track record in project management, execution, and team leadership.
• Expertise in Microsoft technologies such as .NET framework and SQL Server.
• Experience in developing web applications using technologies like Angular.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent English communication abilities, both written and spoken.
• Preferably knowledgeable in Microsoft Azure and SharePoint platforms.
• Experience within clinical or regulated environments is advantageous.
