Role overview
A long-established manufacturing company is looking to bring in a Systems Administrator to strengthen its team. The business works in a tightly regulated setting and places strong emphasis on quality, environmental compliance, and ongoing improvement. This position offers the chance to contribute meaningfully across management systems, compliance activity, and operational support.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain company standards and certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, EN 1090, PEFC Chain of Custody, EPA compliance obligations, and other sector-specific accreditations.
- Support the planning, coordination, and closure of internal and external audits, ensuring corrective actions are completed on schedule.
- Track, update, and report on follow-up actions resulting from audits and inspections.
- Gather, review, and present KPI information for the business.
- Keep company procedures, policies, and controlled documents current and properly managed.
- Provide administrative assistance to the Operations Director and Operations Manager.
- Help organise and prepare for Management Review meetings.
- Maintain waste logs, environmental permits, and other compliance records.
- Assist with EPA inspections and related regulatory reporting.
- Prepare and lodge environmental submissions, including EPR Waste Generated On-Site returns and Annual Environmental Reports (AER).
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and wider management system projects.
- Ensure records are accurate and document control is consistent across the business.
Experience and requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in administration, quality, compliance, or a similar position.
- Hands-on exposure to ISO-based management systems.
- Ability to juggle several priorities independently while meeting deadlines.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and document management tools.
- Preferred: experience managing internal and external audits.
- Preferred: familiarity with regulatory compliance obligations.
- Preferred: background in manufacturing, engineering, or an industrial setting.
