About the Role
Our client, a prominent multinational manufacturing organization with an extensive global footprint and a reputation for excellence in operations, seeks to expand its team. They are hiring a Supply Chain Planner to be based full-time at their Ferrybridge office near Leeds. The position offers a salary range from £30,000 to £32,000 along with a benefits package.
Key Duties
- Oversee inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment for a wide variety of finished goods.
- Conduct detailed inventory analyses to uncover opportunities for optimizing stock availability and volume.
- Track back orders carefully and aid in resolving supply chain challenges.
- Coordinate packaging and materials restocking to facilitate smooth production activities.
- Maintain supplier information, including pricing and master data, within ERP systems.
- Assist with direct shipment workflows and organize necessary transportation logistics.
- Monitor pending orders and actively manage delivery timelines.
- Manage import logistics and foster partnerships with external suppliers and warehousing providers.
- Generate regular key performance indicator reports with thorough analysis to aid managerial decision-making.
- Contribute to broader supply chain and logistics operations as required by the team.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in supply chain, planning, manufacturing, logistics, or operations is desirable.
- Applicants with relevant degrees who show a keen interest in supply chain and manufacturing sectors are welcome.
- Strong analytical capabilities to interpret and manipulate extensive datasets.
- Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities is mandatory.
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP software systems is beneficial.
- Exceptional attention to detail coupled with excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication abilities for engaging with various business stakeholders.
