Supervisor - Loss Prevention

Overview

The role involves patrolling the premises to secure property and assist guests with room access. Key duties include conducting safety inspections, emergency drills, investigations, and monitoring security systems such as CCTV and alarms. The supervisor ensures proper key control, responds to emergencies by administering first aid or contacting emergency services, and documents incidents while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and secure all hotel areas; assist guests with room access.
• Perform emergency response drills and daily hazard inspections.
• Investigate incidents, conduct interviews, and audit key controls.
• Monitor closed-circuit television and alarm systems consistently.
• Authorize and log access to restricted zones.
• Respond promptly to accidents and emergencies, administering first aid or CPR if necessary.
• Maintain confidentiality when preparing reports and releasing information only to authorized personnel.
• De-escalate disturbances following company protocols and remove unwelcome individuals from the premises.
• Ensure compliance with alcohol control regulations and call for backup using established codes.
• Assist management in employee training, motivation, and coaching as a role model.
• Uphold company policies including safety, dress code, and confidentiality standards.
• Welcome guests warmly, anticipate their needs, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Foster positive relationships among staff to achieve team goals.
• Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting objects up to 50 pounds unaided or over 75 pounds with assistance, moving through confined spaces, and navigating varying terrain.
• Carry out additional reasonable tasks assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of relevant experience in loss prevention or security.
• At least one year in a supervisory capacity.
• No specific license or certification required, though some regions may require additional licensing.

This position falls under the Loss Prevention & Security category and is based on Conference Centre Street, West Bay, Doha, Qatar. It is a non-management role with a full-time schedule and requires onsite presence.
