Role Overview

We seek a detail-oriented, motivated Subject Matter Expert to join our Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team in Hyderabad. This individual will specialize in accounts receivable management and denial resolution by interfacing effectively with U.S. insurance companies and payers. The role entails mentoring junior staff, leading process improvements, and consistently supporting enhanced cash flow and reduced outstanding AR through expert communication and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver training on updated RCM procedures, medical coding, and billing guidelines to staff.
• Provide expert support during client and internal team meetings regarding RCM processes.
• Serve as primary resource for all RCM functions including billing, cash posting, credit balance management, accounts receivables, denial handling, and correspondence review.
• Track and manage RCM performance metrics such as Days in AR, aging over 90 days, collections, and bad debt.
• Distribute workloads and monitor team progress using operational scorecards.
• Analyze claim denials to determine root causes and implement strategies to lower denial frequencies.
• Manage collection efforts to ensure timely payments from insurers and patients.
• Prepare and file appeals for denied claims adhering to payer policies.
• Generate operational performance reports regularly utilizing billing systems and Excel.
• Identify trends in accounts receivable data and create actions plans for improvement.
• Offer data-driven recommendations to leadership to enhance processes and revenue.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA as well as state and federal healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate across departments to maintain the integrity and accuracy of the RCM process.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Management, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management with demonstrated expertise.
• Strong command of US healthcare RCM fundamentals including AR follow-up, denial management, and payer guidelines.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding standards.
• Proficient with medical billing software, payer portals, and Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
• Skilled in verbal communication with a neutral accent and active listening abilities.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work night shifts aligned with U.S. time zones.
• Experience mentoring junior associates and supporting a team environment.
• MUST be available to work five days a week onsite at Hyderabad office.
