Role Overview
The Strategy & New Ventures Manager will be central to crafting and executing Foodstuffs New Zealand's long-term strategic plan aligned to its mission and goals. This role offers a leadership position where you will direct strategic initiatives, assess new opportunities for growth, and oversee complex projects from concept through completion. Expect collaboration with senior leadership and influence on pivotal decisions shaping the company’s future.
Principal Responsibilities
- Direct the formulation and implementation of the enterprise-wide strategy.
- Manage strategic work streams and critical projects with high visibility.
- Analyze new business prospects and strategic alliances.
- Prepare investment analyses, board reports, and presentation materials.
- Construct financial and operational models to evaluate initiatives.
- Deliver insights into competitor activities, market trends, and related industries.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment and effective execution.
- Support organizational annual business planning processes.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates will have substantial experience in developing and executing strategies within consulting, investment banking, or internal strategy functions. Leadership capabilities include managing teams and influencing senior stakeholders as a trusted advisor. The role demands strong commercial acumen combined with advanced technical skills, including financial modeling and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable communication.
