About the Role
Uber Eats is transforming how people access food and essentials by offering seamless delivery options, from local meals to groceries and beverages. Working with Uber Eats involves creating impactful solutions not only for customers but also for merchants looking to expand and delivery partners seeking earning opportunities. We are seeking a talented individual to join our Strategic Operations team for the US & Canada region, focused on developing innovative resolutions for our most challenging problems. This role collaborates closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Customer Support.
As an Operations Manager, you will influence strategy and optimize our delivery operations within verticals such as consumer, courier, marketplace, and merchant domains. You will spearhead high-impact projects and experiments aimed at accelerating growth and boosting operational efficiency. The position requires working in partnership with teams across Product, Local Operations, Finance, Marketing, Technology, and Customer Support to prioritize initiatives and evaluate results.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously identify and pursue opportunities to enhance performance in assigned focus areas, such as increasing supply and demand, segmenting customers, improving merchant satisfaction, or advancing delivery priorities.
- Define project scopes and solutions, take full ownership of project execution and outcome delivery, and ensure leadership is regularly updated on progress.
- Be accountable for achieving key project metrics and communicating status transparently.
- Conduct complex data analyses, build predictive models, and aggregate insights to drive significant business decisions and policy development.
- Advise senior management on strategic directions by defining essential metrics, creating dashboards, and sharing data-driven insights.
- Partner with Product teams to shape solution development based on business and customer needs, manage cross-functional initiatives for product launches across the US and Canada, and define and track key performance indicators for rolled-out programs.
- Collaborate extensively with various internal departments including Operations, Product, Data Science, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Support to ensure insights contribute to critical business initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

- Proficient in SQL and Excel or Google Sheets.
- Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in fields like consulting, investment banking, strategy, operations, or analytics.
- Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets or SQL.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-moving, ambiguous work environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with creativity in addressing complex challenges.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing complex workflows.
- Strong presentation and communication abilities, including delivering data-driven insights to sophisticated audiences.
- Expertise in quantitative data analysis to generate actionable insights.
- Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills, fostering deep, trust-based relationships across teams.
- Sound business judgment and critical thinking, capable of swiftly formulating strategies and making decisions based on data.
Compensation and Benefits
For New York City-based roles, the annual salary range is between 106000 and 118000 USD. Employees may also qualify for bonus programs, equity awards, and other compensation types. Full-time employees have access to a 401(k) retirement plan along with various other benefits.
Work Environment and Culture
Uber values creating environments where employees can write the playbook rather than just follow it. Those who are impact-driven, adapt to challenges, and aim to shape global mobility will find this opportunity fulfilling.
While some roles allow remote work, employees typically must spend at least half of their time onsite to maintain collaboration and culture; some positions require full-time office presence. Please consult your recruiter regarding the specifics for this role.
