Staff Alliance Manager, EMEA

About the Role

This opportunity is with a global life sciences firm seeking a Staff Alliance Manager for the EMEA region based in Germany. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing vital customer alliances, fostering collaboration between internal teams and clients, and ensuring excellence in delivering contractual obligations. This role involves strategic influence on growth initiatives, process enhancement, and supporting innovation in healthcare and biotechnology.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of strategic partnerships, maintaining customer satisfaction and driving retention, revenue growth, and contractual compliance.
• Serve as the central communication hub between customers and various company departments such as commercial, operational, finance, quality, engineering, and leadership.
• Lead onboarding of new customers and facilitate seamless transitions for ongoing partnership success.
• Establish and nurture executive-level relationships through consistent interactions including business reviews and strategic planning discussions.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver customer programs, resolve issues, and meet business goals.
• Track performance indicators, revenue forecasts, risks, and operational priorities, providing reports and insights to leadership.
• Ensure contracts align with commercial agreements, supply commitments, and partnership expectations.
• Enhance alliance management processes, adopt best practices, and develop scalable operational models.
• Guide and mentor junior team members to build overall alliance management expertise within the organization.

Candidate Profile

• A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, life sciences, or a related discipline with at least 7 years’ experience in alliance or program management, project leadership, or client-facing commercial roles.
• Demonstrated success managing intricate, multi-disciplinary partnerships in life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, or technical industries.
• Strong track record of leading operational initiatives and process improvements in regulated settings.
• Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and operational/manufacturing enhancement projects.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP platforms such as NetSuite and proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Knowledge of quality and regulatory standards (21 CFR 820, ICH Q7, ISO 9001, ISO 13485) is advantageous.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively under pressure within complex business environments.
• Self-driven, well-organized, and capable of independently leading initiatives.
• Willing to travel occasionally, up to 25% of the time.
