Primary Responsibilities

The Solar Energy Consultant will serve as an on-site, full-time advisor in Sowa Town, providing expertise and guidance on solar energy systems to residents, businesses, and council stakeholders. Key duties include:

• Assessing energy requirements and evaluating the suitability of locations for solar energy installations.
• Creating basic proposals and recommendations for solar power systems tailored to client needs.
• Generating leads by identifying prospective solar projects and engaging community members interested in solar solutions.
• Maintaining detailed records of clients and consultations.
• Communicating the benefits, costs, and technical aspects of solar energy in understandable terms.
• Delivering excellent customer service throughout the consultation process.
• Collaborating closely with council staff, local contractors, and external partners to ensure conformity with regulatory standards and community goals.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Understanding of the solar energy sector and practical knowledge of solar power systems and their applications.
• Experience in lead generation and identifying potential clients within the community.
• Strong communication skills for simplifying complex concepts and preparing written materials.
• Demonstrated customer service abilities emphasizing responsiveness and professionalism.
• Relevant background in energy, engineering, environmental science, or related fields; direct solar experience is advantageous.
• Ability to interpret basic energy data and proficiency with standard office and presentation software.
• Excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and capacity to handle multiple consultations and projects simultaneously.
• Diploma or degree in renewable energy, electrical engineering, environmental management, or a related discipline is preferred.
