Role Summary

As part of the founding engineering team, you will develop Traba's product centered on AI agents—integrating frontier AI models and existing agents into the staffing marketplace. Your work will automate sourcing, vetting, matching, and placing workers across millions of shifts. The role spans across various priorities, including AI automation, payments systems, and user interfaces. You will collaborate closely with the CTO, influence product planning, and build foundational technology infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Implement and apply AI agents and cutting-edge models across multiple platforms including worker, business, and operations applications to automate processes such as vetting, matching, and fulfillment.
• Develop and maintain high-quality codebases in React Native, React/TypeScript web applications, and Node.js/PostgreSQL backend services.
• Design and architect core system components like real-time matching engines and autonomous machine learning-driven worker vetting pipelines.
• Work with design teams to deliver polished and user-friendly interfaces.

Candidate Profile

• An executor focused on delivering reliable automation by integrating frontier models and agents into practical products rather than conducting fundamental AI research.
• A rapid learner comfortable exploring various programming languages and frameworks, collaborating with diverse teams from designers to infrastructure leads.
• Possesses strong front-end development experience or enthusiasm to master React Native for building responsive, user-pleasing applications.

Qualifications

• Recently earned degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines, with exposure to TypeScript, React/React Native, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.
• Internship experience in engineering environments demonstrating initiative and capacity to navigate ambiguous situations.
• Hands-on experience integrating large language models or AI agents into production environments, or a strong motivation to gain such skills.
• Comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment characterized by ambiguity, autonomy, and rapid iteration.
