Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer specializing in the design and implementation of Duck Creek Policy System solutions. The role involves collaborating closely with business analysts and clients to understand requirements, guiding technical teams, and delivering quality software aligned with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver effective Duck Creek Policy System solutions matching business objectives.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to technical teams for design, development, and delivery of Duck Creek modules.
- Advise on best practices for working with Duck Creek Policy Modules including Author, Server, Express, Rating, and others.
- Engage with stakeholders to analyze and capture business requirements.
- Manage complete policy lifecycle and transaction processing such as underwriting, billing, and claims.
- Ensure smooth integration of Duck Creek systems with other insurance technologies.
- Oversee technical project delivery to ensure high standards throughout the lifecycle.
Candidate Profile and Skills
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree with 8 to 13 years of relevant industry experience.
- Possess strong expertise with 6 to 10 years specifically on the Duck Creek Policy System platform.
- Demonstrate at least 5 years in team leadership roles.
- Expertise in Duck Creek Policy Modules such as Author, Server, Express (versions 2 and 3), Forms, Rating, Batch Processing, Task Creation, Transact, Address Validation, Transactions, and Integrations.
- Experience in Lines of Business including Commercial, Personal, and Specialty insurance.
- Solid understanding of underwriting, claims, and billing systems.
- Deep knowledge of policy lifecycle management and related transactions.
- Proven ability to design and develop solutions within the Duck Creek Policy System framework.
- Strong communication skills and capacity to interpret client requirements effectively.
- Familiarity with emerging InsurTech technologies and trends.
