About the opportunity
Beca is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to the growth of its Software Engineering Centre of Excellence and help deliver value to the wider business. The Digital Development & Innovation team is made up of 35 distinctive, enthusiastic professionals who share a strong team identity and play an expanding role in Beca’s mission to make everyday better.

What you’ll bring
We are interested in people from a variety of backgrounds who can bring experience, capability, and a collaborative mindset to the role.
- Hands-on background as a full-stack developer building cloud-based software products, web applications, systems integration through APIs, distributed systems, software security, and storage solutions
- Enterprise-level exposure to .NET, C#, Azure, Blazor, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, SQL, Azure DevOps, and GitHub
- Practical experience using cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure, to deliver software with high availability expectations
- Ability to work effectively with software engineers and business stakeholders while contributing ideas that encourage innovation
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and workflows, specifically Claude Code and GitHub Copilot
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to develop constructive and productive working relationships across the Digital team
Nice to have
- Prior experience working in Agile environments, including Scrum or similar delivery methods
- Exposure to Microsoft Dataverse, Fabric, Logic Apps, Data Factory, or Power Apps
- Experience with additional programming languages such as Python

You work well in a motivated engineering team and alongside multidisciplinary specialists who combine technical capability with software and technology enablement. You are also committed to continuing to strengthen both your technical and interpersonal skills.
