Site Engineer

Overview

The role of Site Engineer involves overseeing daily quality inspections of work completed on-site, ensuring projects meet industry standards while adhering to timelines and budgets. Working collaboratively with the site team, you will drive continuous improvements to meet customer expectations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with the Engineering team and subcontractors.
• Support systems management to monitor work progress in terms of timing, quality, dimensions, and quantity.
• Assist in documenting and testing various workmanship and materials, including drainage, concrete, piling, and brickwork.
• Manage setting out of work ensuring constructions stay within permitted tolerances.
• Regularly verify setting out points and benchmarks and ensure calibration certificates accompany all measuring tools delivered to site.
• Ensure the workforce comprehends setting out details suited for the type of work performed.
• Provide and sustain precise setting out and dimensional control to guarantee accurate construction.
• Adopt a proactive stance on managing Health and Safety protocols on site.
• Implement a comprehensive programme of test and inspection plans for all site activities.

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree in Construction Management or an equivalent field.
• Sound technical knowledge of engineering principles and best practices.
• Valid CSCS or CSR card.
• Possession of a full driving license.
• First Aid at Work certification.
• Familiarity with the full Microsoft Office suite.
• Competency in using AutoCAD software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels.
• Self-driven and able to work independently while motivating team members.
• Exceptional attention to detail along with excellent planning and organizational capabilities.
