Job Overview
The Site Agent will lead and manage all onsite activities for a designated project, supervising construction operations focusing on reinforced concrete frames, curtain wall facades, and high-end internal finishes. This role requires oversight of site preparations before project commencement and managing the complete construction phase with responsibility for safety, quality, efficiency, and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing initial project programmes and comprehend weekly goals
- Coordinate and execute site setup ensuring full readiness before project launch
- Build and maintain cooperative relationships with subcontractors present on site
- Enforce health, safety, environmental, quality, and sustainability standards consistently
- Implement and monitor quality control measures throughout the project
- Maintain and update the temporary works register diligently
- Identify and report potential issues impacting delivery including materials, resources, scheduling, safety, or costs to contract management and commercial teams
- Drive project momentum by planning and prioritizing site activities
- Track onsite energy usage and waste management data
- Lead and manage foremen and site workforce effectively
- Conduct daily briefings via whiteboard meetings
- Ensure all incidents on site follow correct procedures
- Manage project execution from mobilisation to final completion
- Communicate requirements with commercial teams to find efficient technical and financial solutions
- Delegate tasks decisively among site staff for smooth operations
- Maintain comprehensive site records and contemporaneous documentation
- Deliver projects according to execution plans on time and budget
- Oversee a robust registration system for site access management
Experience and Skills
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing construction projects spanning multiple sectors
- Proven success leading teams and delivering medium to large-scale projects
- Strong interpersonal skills to build consensus and foster positive workplace relationships
- Good understanding of industrial relations and ability to manage subcontractors and staff
- Clear, persuasive communication with colleagues and clients
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction trades, safety codes, and site requirements
- Sound decision-making and prioritization skills under pressure
- Ability to manage competing priorities and challenging stakeholder interactions calmly and effectively
Required Qualifications and Training
- Trade or technical educational background
- IOSH or equivalent health and safety management certification
- Temporary works and excavation safety training
- Training on permitting for live energy operations
- Height work and scaffolding safety courses
- Lifting and cranage operations training
- Other health, safety, environment, quality, and sustainability (HSEQS) training as per specific site requirements
- Familiarity with new construction technology systems and BIM strategy knowledge
Desirable Qualifications
- Relevant project management qualification or coursework
- Completion of Sisk internal management programmes
- Degree in engineering, construction management, or related discipline
