Job Overview
NetConnect Global seeks a Senior Manual Tester based in Bengaluru who will play a pivotal role within the quality assurance team, focusing on the thorough testing of web, API, and enterprise software applications. As a Level 4 professional with 6 to 9 years of experience, you will apply your deep expertise in both manual and automation testing to elevate testing standards and ensure high-quality deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement detailed test plans, cases, and scenarios covering web applications, APIs, and enterprise systems.
- Conduct diverse testing types including functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end assessments to validate software against business requirements.
- Work closely with product owners, developers, and business analysts to gather requirements and validate software features comprehensively.
- Log, track, and manage defects using tools such as Azure DevOps, ensuring timely resolution and re-verification.
- Develop and sustain automated test scripts and regression suites using Playwright alongside TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Participate actively in release validations, delivering detailed test documentation and ensuring adherence to QA standards.
- Drive continuous enhancements in testing methodologies, frameworks, and automation breadth to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support Agile teams by embedding testing workflows within CI/CD pipelines using platforms like Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in software testing with a strong emphasis on manual testing of web-based applications and APIs.
- Solid hands-on expertise with test automation frameworks such as Playwright and programming with TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Comprehensive understanding of software development lifecycles including SDLC, STLC, Agile, and DevOps practices.
- Experience using test management and defect tracking systems including Azure DevOps, ALM, and Jira.
- Proficient analytical and communication skills to collaborate effectively across functional teams.
- Experience with API automation testing tools like Postman or REST Assured.
- Familiarity with integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions and knowledge of Git version control.
