Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Manual QA Tester to critically assess our software products' quality, reliability, and performance. This role focuses on manual testing of desktop and mobile applications, applying expertise in testing methodologies and collaborating closely with development and QA teams to identify, document, and resolve defects before release.

Key Duties

• Conduct comprehensive manual testing on desktop and mobile platforms to verify that software fulfills both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Work alongside developers to report, track, and aid the resolution of defects to uphold high software standards.
• Partner with QA Analysts to craft detailed test cases covering all software functionalities, including boundary and failure scenarios.
• Assist in developing and refining test plans and overall testing strategies ensuring complete coverage before product deployment.
• Maintain rigorous quality assurance throughout the software development life cycle, continuously seeking ways to improve testing processes and product quality.

Required Qualifications

• At least 4 years of direct experience in manual testing, particularly in web and mobile environments.
• Deep understanding of both QA and software development life cycles, enabling efficient integration of testing activities.
• Proficient English communication skills (minimum B2 level) for clear documentation of test cases, defect reports, and status updates.
• Hands-on familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and test management tools to effectively oversee and document testing activities.
• Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail, ensuring thorough identification of potential issues before release.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and respond swiftly to ad-hoc testing needs.
• Collaborative approach displaying flexibility and teamwork to contribute positively to project success.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience or exposure to test automation tools such as Selenium and Appium, facilitating cooperation with automation teams.
• Basic programming knowledge in JavaScript to better engage with developers and support automation efforts.
• Familiarity with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) like IntelliJ or Eclipse to understand software development contexts.
• Background in functional analysis and test case design to ensure exhaustive test coverage.
• Commitment to ongoing learning to keep pace with evolving QA and software development trends.

• Fluent in Arabic
