Overview
Qiddiya Investment Company is looking for a Senior Manager - Commercial to join their team and lead commercial efforts on large infrastructure projects. This critical position demands strategic leadership and a comprehensive understanding of commercial management to align project outcomes with corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct commercial, procurement, and contract-related functions for major infrastructure initiatives.
- Formulate and execute procurement and contracting strategies effectively.
- Manage project finances including budgets, cost forecasting, cash flows, and financial reporting.
- Administer contracts, oversee change management processes, and handle claims.
- Support negotiation and resolution of commercial disputes.
- Implement risk management practices and monitor project commercial performance.
- Collaborate with project controls, finance, procurement, and delivery teams to ensure alignment.
- Engage with external consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to foster productive relationships.
- Coach commercial team members, encouraging best practices and ongoing improvements.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, Cost Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 to 15 years of commercial management experience in large infrastructure or construction projects.
- Extensive expertise in both pre-contract and post-contract commercial activities.
- Strong procurement, contract administration, cost control, forecasting, and reporting capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of FIDIC contracts, claims handling, and commercial practices.
- Experience operating within complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Previous work experience in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East region is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Familiarity with commercial and reporting software such as Power BI, PRISM, SAP, CostX, or similar tools.
Preferred Certifications
- MRICS or FRICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)
- MCIOB or FCIOB (Chartered Institute of Building)
- MCIArb or FCIArb (Chartered Institute of Arbitrators)
