Overview
Join a global leader in aviation as a Senior Financial Analyst to support business growth through comprehensive financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting. This role focuses on enhancing decision-making and streamlining financial processes across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed financial models leveraging varied quantitative techniques.
- Regularly analyze and communicate actual revenues and costs; prepare comprehensive variance analyses for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to management.
- Collaborate with finance and business partners to drive process improvements.
- Provide ad hoc financial insights regarding revenues and expenses for senior finance leadership.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) in coordination with business units and report on them periodically.
- Ensure alignment between financial accounting reports and corporate finance definitions.
- Enhance reporting methods for route profitability, financial accounting, and management reporting.
- Review and assess annual budget proposals to ensure they align with strategic management objectives.
- Monitor spending to meet cost of sales targets and suggest corrective actions.
- Evaluate business case submissions aimed at boosting revenues or reducing costs, including Capital Management Committee (CMC) proposals.
- Review contracts for compliance with financial policies.
- Consolidate and analyze financial outcomes of departments on a monthly basis and during annual budget cycles.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the department head.
Candidate Profile
- Educational background ranging from high school or vocational diploma with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 4 years of related financial analyst experience.
- Preferably experienced within the airline sector.
- Exceptional communication and presentation capabilities, able to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
- Keen attention to detail paired with strong analytical skills to interpret business cycles and their effects on profit and loss.
- Proficient in English.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Organizational excellence with multitasking ability and strict adherence to deadlines.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal guidance.
- Strong interpersonal skills and capability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Innovative thinker with high motivation and problem-solving aptitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with internal finance systems.
- Knowledgeable in cost center accounting, and experienced in budgeting and forecasting processes.
