About the Role
Randstad Canada is recruiting for an influential Senior Financial Analyst on behalf of a leading independent professional services and consulting company. This 12-month contract offers a strategic position working closely with the CFO, blending corporate finance expertise with data analytics and digital transformation initiatives. Unlike traditional accounting roles, this position emphasizes forward-looking financial planning and the enhancement of financial systems, particularly Workday Financials.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning efforts, developing detailed models and scenario analyses to guide strategic decision making.
- Collaborate directly with the CFO to prepare executive-level reporting, performance analysis, and presentations intended for senior leadership.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for financial systems, optimizing workflows, approval processes, and planning cycles within Workday Financials and Workday Adaptive Planning.
- Create and maintain dynamic dashboards and management reports utilizing Excel and Power BI to enhance data transparency and quality.
- Work cross-functionally with departments such as Payroll, People & Culture, and Operations to automate processes, improve data integration, and boost reporting efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 5 to 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or financial analysis roles.
- Proven proficiency with Workday Financials, Workday Adaptive Planning, or related enterprise EPM/ERP systems is strongly preferred.
- Advanced skills in financial modeling, Excel reporting, and Power BI visualization tools.
- Demonstrated ability to support finance process improvements, system implementations, or automation projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with the CFO and senior management.
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- CPA designation is strongly preferred or candidates currently pursuing it.
- CFA certification is considered a valuable addition.
