  • Ensure all deliverables meet scheduled timelines, allotted effort hours, and budget constraints.
  • Drive continuous enhancements in estimating tools, templates, processes, and data integrity.
  • Apply and standardize Operating Procedures for estimating activities across projects.
  • Develop and implement estimate plans systematically for projects assigned.
  • Conduct risk analysis and contingency evaluations on estimates.
  • Present detailed estimates for review among project teams, senior managers, and clients.
  • Maintain a centralized repository for benchmark data to track lessons learned and improve estimates.
  • Facilitate Value Engineering and Risk Workshops to optimize projects.
  • Support initiatives such as Capital Cost Trending, Jacobs Value Plus, and Jacobs Sustainability Plus.
  • Ensure compliance with project management and client systems and requirements.
  • Leverage digital platforms like Cost x, Navisworks, and Excel to enhance productivity and refining estimating tools.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Chartered status with Engineers Ireland, SCSI, or an equivalent body is advantageous.
  • Significant experience in cost engineering, quantity surveying, or estimating including hands-on construction site exposure.
  • Proven track record producing estimates for large-scale industrial projects, ideally in Life Sciences or high-tech sectors.
  • Comprehensive understanding of EPCM project frameworks.
