Role Overview
Rosewood Red Sea is dedicated to fostering a secure and welcoming environment for both guests and staff, aligned with our hallmark philosophy of Relationship Hospitality and A Sense of Place. The Security Manager oversees all facets of security operations at the resort, including life safety, risk management, and emergency readiness. This position plays a crucial role in safeguarding guests, employees, contractors, visitors, company properties, and the brand reputation by ensuring proactive security measures, adherence to Saudi regulations, and implementation of Rosewood standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily security operations throughout the resort.
- Create and enforce security policies, procedures, and standardized protocols.
- Guarantee continuous 24/7 security coverage in all resort areas.
- Supervise external security vendors to ensure compliance with contracts and high service quality.
- Conduct systematic patrols and evaluations of all guest, staff, back-of-house, and perimeter zones.
- Manage access control, visitor documentation, and key handling processes.
- Ensure CCTV and monitoring systems are operational and effective.
- Maintain and update a thorough Risk Register for the resort.
- Perform frequent operational and security risk assessments for all departments.
- Identify security gaps and establish action plans to address them.
- Carry out regular safety inspections in guest and employee areas.
- Ensure adherence to Rosewood Hotels' protocols, Red Sea Global mandates, and relevant Saudi regulations.
- Oversee workplace safety and suggest ongoing enhancements.
- Assist departments with risk assessment and operational safety reviews.
- Develop and sustain Emergency Response Plans and procedures.
- Head the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and coordinate emergency readiness activities.
- Organize fire drills, evacuation protocols, and crisis simulations.
- Maintain and verify functionality and compliance of all emergency equipment.
- Engage in crisis management and business continuity planning.
- Assume Incident Commander responsibilities during emergencies as necessary.
- Ensure full compliance with Fire and Life Safety regulations.
- Coordinate inspections and upkeep of fire systems including alarms, extinguishers, sprinklers, and evacuation lighting.
- Collaborate with Engineering to support life safety systems maintenance.
- Conduct routine fire risk evaluations.
- Champion a robust safety culture throughout the property.
- Lead thorough investigations of theft, accidents, misconduct, property damage, security breaches, and guest incidents.
- Compile detailed incident reports with findings and recommended actions.
- Manage evidence preservation and uphold confidentiality.
- Coordinate with government agencies as needed.
- Analyze incident patterns and enforce preventive measures.
- Stay compliant with Saudi legal and Civil Defence regulations.
- Maintain all necessary security licenses, permits, certifications, and documentation.
- Prepare reports and audit files for both internal and external review.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Risk Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- 7 to 10 years of progressively responsible experience in security leadership.
- A minimum of 3 years serving as a Security Manager in a luxury hotel, resort, or mixed-use development environment.
- Experience in pre-opening operations is highly advantageous.
