Position Overview

We are actively recruiting Security Guards to join our team stationed at a commercial facility located in Sturgeon County. The position involves working in 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off, with options for both night and day shifts. The hourly wage is $20.50.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor the premises to guarantee a safe and secure environment for clients.
• Operate surveillance equipment and conduct inspections of buildings, equipment, and access points.
• Control site access by granting permission to authorized personnel.
• Report any irregularities, enforce policies, and restrain violators when necessary to prevent losses and damages.
• Manage traffic flow by directing drivers within the property.
• Complete Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHA), Daily Occurrence Reports (DOR), and Incident Reports (IR) as required.
• Maintain environmental safety by monitoring and adjusting building and equipment controls.
• Ensure punctuality for shifts and communicate promptly with the on-call supervisor if unable to perform duties.
• Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Alberta Security License.
• Hold a Class 5 Driver's License.
• Certified in Standard First Aid and CPR.
• Completed CSTS certification (mandatory).
• H2S Awareness preferred but not mandatory.
• Exhibit objectivity, emotional self-control, and reliability.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
• Able to comprehend and execute complex written and verbal instructions.
• Familiarity with security operations and standard procedures.
• Willingness to undergo site orientations as needed.
