About the Role

Join Saudi Industrial Gas Company in Dammam, Saudi Arabia as a Scheduling Manager responsible for overseeing transportation and logistics operations in line with Linde's integrity and safety standards. This role involves managing both contracted and company-owned fleets, improving productivity, and coordinating across departments to ensure efficient supply chain function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply Linde's integrity standards across all operational activities.
  • Supervise and approve the performance of transportation contractors to ensure compliance with procedures and safety regulations.
  • Monitor fleet operations to maintain alignment with safety policies and Linde's quality benchmarks.
  • Take full accountability for the safe execution of transportation activities within the department's jurisdiction.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance productivity and efficiency within logistics and planning operations.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Information Systems, Finance & Controlling, and Business Support Units to implement Lean Six Sigma, productivity improvements, cost reduction, and digitalization projects.
  • Manage the execution of contracted strategic sourcing agreements, including product swaps and long-term supply chain sustainability initiatives.
  • Align with regional planning and logistics teams to ensure KPI reporting and supply chain activities meet annual objectives and budget requirements.
  • Oversee accident and incident reporting according to corporate and local standards, ensuring investigations and corrective measures are implemented.
  • Lead network studies to optimize sourcing and logistics productivity, including cross-border interactions.
  • Handle interactions involving KSA, bulk materials, and PGP products within the designated area.
  • Develop business infrastructure to ensure smooth supply chain operations, including network optimization responsibilities across the supply chain.
  • Lead and sponsor supply chain improvement and digitalization initiatives, including transport safety missions.
  • Manage cylinder parks and associated infrastructure and investments.
  • Ensure all transportation activities comply with local regulations and Linde’s safety procedures.
  • Monitor departmental KPIs and propose innovative ideas and procedures for continued improvement.
  • Coordinate planning efforts to maintain sufficient cylinder stocks and asset management across plants and customer cylinder holdings in cooperation with PGP and sales management.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
  • Experience managing within a matrix organizational structure.
  • Excellent communication and presentation capabilities.
  • Negotiation skills with diverse partners and stakeholders.
  • Experience in management roles including profit and loss responsibility.
  • Strong analytical skills with an understanding of key revenue and cost drivers.
  • Strategic thinker able to review, develop, and execute action plans.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Creative mindset to develop innovative concepts.
  • Technical University or Engineering degree, preferably in Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgy Engineering, or Logistics.
  • Master’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is advantageous.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Knowledgeable about local legislation and regulatory standards.
