About the Role
Join the expanding team at the Dot’s Pretzels facility in Plymouth, Indiana, as part of The Hershey Company. This position focuses on maintaining high-quality sanitation standards throughout the manufacturing plant to ensure a safe and clean environment. Work Schedule
- Night shift position: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
- 12-hour shifts
- Work schedule follows a 2-2-3 rotation, approximately 3-4 workdays per week, based on both candidate preference and plant needs

Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitizing of plant areas including common sections and processing rooms using methods like sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, and trash removal
- Inventory, replenish, and arrange cleaning supplies as needed
- Operate cleaning machinery such as hand jacks, manlifts, booms, floor scrubbers, and KaiVac according to task requirements
- Carry out deep cleaning tasks in compliance with third-party audit standards and Sanitation Manager directives
- Implement and understand 5S workplace organization methodology
- Document all sanitation activities accurately and timely
- Clean various equipment and areas including computer stations, control panels, extruder motors, gearboxes, electrical cabinets, containers, ladders, vents, walls, floor mats, sinks, mixers, die storage, pump stations, and scales within the production area
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old at the time of hire
- High school diploma or GED equivalency required
- Minimum of one month of related experience or suitable training
- Capability to understand simple written directions
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers and decimals
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Must be physically fit to fulfill assigned duties, which include standing and walking extensively
- Ability to use hands for manual tasks and to communicate effectively
- Capability to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 50 pounds, passing any required physical tests
- Compliance with safety equipment protocols including use of eye protection, hearing protection, and hair/beard nets as recommended or mandated
