Restaurant Manager

Role overview

ONroute is hiring a Restaurant Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations at its Port Hope, Ontario location. This is an on-site position, and the work must be performed at the physical workplace with no remote option.

A secondary school graduation certificate is required.

Experience

Applicants should have 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience.

Work location and environment

This role is based on site in Port Hope, Ontario, Canada. The work setting may include outdoor conditions and can involve wet or damp areas, noisy surroundings, and hot environments.

Key duties

• Set the kind of service to be delivered and put operating procedures in place.
• Carry out staff performance evaluations.
• Oversee stock levels and keep inventory organized.
• Make sure workplace health and safety rules are observed.
• Support marketing planning and execution.
• Handle customer complaints and concerns.
• Deliver strong customer service.
• Direct, coordinate, control, and assess day-to-day restaurant activities.

Supervision

This position manages a team of 5 to 10 people.

Computer and technology knowledge

The role requires working knowledge of MS Access, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and point of sale systems.

Work conditions and physical demands

The job is fast paced and requires the ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, handle repetitive tasks, maintain attention to detail, and remain standing for extended periods.
