Role overview
NVIDIA is looking for a strong AI researcher to join its Research Singapore group. The team works on improving GPU-accelerated AI systems, with focus areas that include language models, visual generation, and robotics. The broader mission is to advance generative AI by building models that are both highly capable and efficient in how they use compute.
You’ll be part of a collaborative research environment that regularly publishes in leading machine learning, robotics, and computer vision venues. The role also offers the opportunity to influence real product outcomes through applied research and technology transfer.
Key responsibilities
- Explore, design, and speed up new generative AI approaches and model architectures.
- Produce and publish original research work.
- Work closely with teammates and other internal groups on research initiatives.
- Guide and support interns as part of the research workflow.
- Present work at conferences, meetups, and industry events.
- Move research ideas and technology into product teams.
- Partner with outside researchers on joint work and knowledge exchange.
Required background
- Deep understanding of large language models and foundation models.
- Evidence of publishing at top-tier conferences such as CVPR, ICML, ICLR, ICCV, or NeurIPS.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in computer science or electrical engineering, along with a strong research history.
- Strong coding ability in fast prototyping environments such as Python; experience with C++ and parallel programming, including CUDA, is an advantage.
- Hands-on familiarity with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch.
- Clear, effective communication skills.
About the team
NVIDIA’s research organization is known for highly ambitious work and for attracting talented, forward-thinking people. This role sits in a team that aims to deliver research with practical impact on products.
