Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled research analyst to deliver clear and timely investment recommendations. This role requires taking full ownership of assigned responsibilities, focusing on the technology and internet sectors within Asia excluding Japan, with particular emphasis on China and AI-driven companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth fundamental analysis of companies in the Asia ex-Japan technology and internet sectors.
- Develop and apply financial models to assess historical and current data, aiming to generate forward-looking insights.
- Provide actionable recommendations to the portfolio construction committee to help achieve outperformance compared to the designated research universe.
Team and Location
This position is based in Singapore as part of the Emerging Markets team responsible for managing Emerging Markets and Asia ex Japan investment strategies at UBS Asset Management.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of five years' experience as a research analyst.
- Holds a bachelor's or master's degree preferably in finance, engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
- Possesses domain expertise in technology and internet sectors, especially recent coverage of AI application firms and experience related to China.
- Technical skills in AI applications and programming knowledge are considered advantageous.
- Demonstrates strong critical thinking, initiative, and the capacity to perform under pressure within a results-driven environment, while following established processes.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Curious about leveraging AI to enhance workflows, ensuring outputs are validated and aligned with policies, risk guidelines, and ethical standards.
