Quality Control Engineer - Boiler Package Manufacturing and Erection

Job Overview

Join a rapidly expanding company specializing in manufacturing and EPC of waste heat recovery boilers, water tube and fire tube boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, economisers, and storage tanks with nationwide and export operations based in Hyderabad.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality control and assurance activities in the manufacturing of WHR boilers and related components as well as at erection sites.
• Conduct thorough shop inspections on boiler components including steam drums, water walls, super heaters, and economisers.
• Prepare detailed Quality Assurance (QA) plans for manufacturing and site operations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes such as Indian Boiler Regulations (IBR) and ASME standards.
• Implement and update Quality Management Systems (QMS) documentation regularly.
• Coordinate and liaise with third-party inspection agencies such as Lloyd’s Register to ensure quality adherence.
• Oversee Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) quality control including visual inspection, Penetrant Testing (PT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT).

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech or B.E.) required.
• In-depth knowledge of codes and standards including IBR and ASME.
• Experience with quality management systems such as ISO 9001:2008 and ASME certification processes.
• Familiarity with NDE/NDT techniques and certifications.
