Role Overview
As a Quality Assurance (QA) & Software Tester for the Pawastats product, your responsibility is to ensure that the platform functions correctly before it reaches end-users. Your testing will cover a diverse set of features including social media integrations, real-time dashboards, analytics, reporting, user accounts, notifications, AI-driven insights, and data accuracy. This role offers a chance to significantly impact how businesses in Africa and beyond utilize social media intelligence through diligent testing practices.
Key Responsibilities

- Validate new functionalities across web and supported browsers/devices.
- Ensure social media data is accurately captured, processed, displayed, and reported.
- Test dashboards, reports, charts, filters, search capabilities, exports, and notification features.
- Identify and diagnose synchronization or data consistency problems in social media integrations.
- Verify user workflows including registration, authentication, permissions, subscriptions, and account management.
- Log, prioritize, and track defects until resolution, conducting re-testing to prevent regressions.
- Perform exploratory testing to uncover issues outside structured test cases.
- Assess platform usability, accessibility, responsiveness, and overall user experience.
- Collaborate closely with developers to replicate technical issues and supply detailed debugging information.
- Contribute in product reviews to offer QA insights prior to feature releases.
- Assist in defining and refining QA processes and testing standards as product development progresses.
- Participate in building automated test suites as the testing framework evolves.
QA Selection Process
Applicants are required to complete a Beta Tester & QA Assessment to evaluate their skills and approach. This process involves identifying bugs, analyzing user scenarios, drafting clear test cases, sensing edge cases, assessing usability and user experience, and articulating clear bug reports.
Selected candidates may be invited for hands-on testing of multiple product areas like user registration, dashboard features, social media data accuracy, engagement metrics, reporting, responsiveness, error handling, user experience, performance, and integrations, followed by an interview phase with the Pawastats team.
