Public Area Attendant

Role Overview

The Public Area Attendant at Great Wolf Lodge plays a vital role in maintaining a welcoming and pristine environment throughout the resort. This position is responsible for cleaning and upkeep of shared spaces to meet the high standards set by Great Wolf and its guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning multiple public areas including floors, carpets, restrooms, waterpark sections, elevators, windows, and doors
• Keeping elevator lobbies free from debris
• Emptying trash bins across common areas regularly
• Utilizing cleaning chemicals safely and following all safety protocols based on Material Safety Data Sheets
• Reporting any maintenance concerns noticed in public spaces promptly
• Operating waste management equipment such as trash compactors and cardboard balers
• Interacting with guests courteously and professionally while in public areas
• Delivering requested items to guestrooms and retrieving them from storage when needed
• Supporting guestroom cleaning operations as necessary

Qualifications & Requirements

• Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Successful completion of background checks and drug screening
• Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
• Preferred experience with cleaning chemicals handling
• Strong customer service capabilities
• Previous experience in housekeeping or general cleaning roles advantageous

Physical Demands

• Capability to lift items weighing up to 30 pounds
• Ability to push or pull objects up to 100 pounds
• Being able to bend, stretch, twist, stand, and walk for extended periods
• Climbing multiple flights of stairs daily and frequent walking required
• Safe handling of cleaning chemicals as per instructions
