Role Overview
We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee projects from inception through completion, ensuring thorough planning, resource coordination, and compliance with quality standards. This position is a contract role for 4 months, with potential renewal, based in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects through all phases including initiation, planning, execution, and closure, conducting post-implementation reviews.
- Establish project scope, define objectives, deliverables, timelines, resource requirements, and success criteria.
- Create and regularly update detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
- Coordinate efforts across business, technical, operational, and vendor teams to achieve project goals.
- Organize and facilitate project meetings, documenting outcomes and tracking follow-up actions.
- Monitor milestones and ensure timely delivery of project components.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and changes; escalate critical challenges appropriately.
- Maintain strong communication with stakeholders, providing frequent updates on progress, risks, and decisions.
- Oversee project financials including budgets, expenses, invoices, and resource usage as needed.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate project documentation throughout the lifecycle.
- Support procurement, vendor relations, and contract administration if applicable.
- Manage user acceptance testing, training, implementation, and readiness for operations.
- Ensure projects adhere to organizational policies, governance, and quality benchmarks.
- Execute project closure activities by conducting lessons learned sessions and performance evaluations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, Project Management, or related fields.
- Proven experience in project coordination or management roles.
- Ability to handle multiple stakeholders, manage timelines effectively, and prioritize competing tasks.
- Strong organizational, planning, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Capacity to function both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project/collaboration management tools.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies.
- Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or equivalent) are a plus.
- Experience in vendor management, financial budgeting, procurement, or contract oversight is advantageous.
