Position Overview

This role involves managing construction and facility-related projects at Baylor Scott & White Health sites across the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The standard working hours are Monday through Friday during the day, with occasional requirements for evening or weekend work. Travel between BSWH locations to oversee projects and engage stakeholders is expected.

Role Summary

The Project Manager 1 leads and coordinates teams handling small to moderately complex projects. Key duties include managing scope, schedules, budgets, and resources while offering leadership and direction to team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Create project plans ensuring feasibility with appropriate resources and change management strategies.
• Define project deliverables and timelines, holding teams accountable to achieve both immediate and long-term objectives.
• Develop clear project charters outlining team roles and accountabilities.
• Prepare and gain approval for project scopes at various project phases.
• Engage in feasibility, business planning, and benefit analysis to weigh costs, risks, and advantages.
• Work with multiple departments to secure necessary resources.
• Oversee small to moderate-sized projects to ensure delivery quality and timeliness.
• Maintain project documentation including schedules, budgets, and status updates.
• Communicate task assignments and deadlines professionally and promptly.
• Manage work plans and milestones to meet project commitments.
• Track project progress, address risks and issues quickly, escalating when necessary.
• Conduct team meetings, including daily stand-ups if using Agile methodology.
• Act as liaison to senior management and stakeholders, reporting progress and aiding problem-solving.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
• Keep updated on business operations and pertinent applications to provide necessary information.

Qualifications and Desired Skills

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Healthcare, or related field preferred.
• A minimum of three years' experience in project management.
• PMP certification is advantageous.
• Experience with construction projects.
• Familiarity with both waterfall and Agile project management frameworks.
• Proficiency using tools like SmartSheet, Planview, and Azure DevOps.
• Strong understanding of project management principles.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to quickly comprehend and document new processes and technical details.
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking capability.
• Capacity to manage competing demands and tight deadlines.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and collaboration software.
