Role Summary
The Project Executive oversees a range of control systems projects, ensuring successful delivery concerning safety, quality, timeline, budget, and client satisfaction. This leadership role directs Project Managers, acts as the chief escalation contact, and aligns projects with the organization's strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage delivery outcomes for a portfolio of projects, monitoring risks, schedules, costs, margins, and customer satisfaction.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities for Project Managers to ensure uniform project execution and growth.
- Act as the primary escalation point for addressing project risks, obstacles, and client feedback.
- Approve project forecasts, cost-to-complete analyses, and financial projections to uphold targeted gross profit margins.
- Collaborate with engineering and business development for resource planning and staffing forecasts.
- Ensure project activities comply with company standards, Quality Management System requirements, and strategic objectives.
- Oversee change order processes and confirm contract and scope alignment.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Track site progress against schedules and plans, identify milestone risks, and initiate corrective measures.
- Organize and coordinate daily and weekly field meetings such as toolbox talks, trade coordination sessions, and look-ahead planning.
- Maintain awareness of site limitations like access, permits, shutdowns, staging, and material availability, proactively communicating impacts to Project Managers.
- Advocate for safety-first practices across all project teams and locations.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, project governance, and quality standards.
- Promote consistent project execution and seek opportunities to enhance delivery efficiency and team performance.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Over 15 years of experience managing complex, customer-centered projects and program delivery.
- Experience effectively directing portfolios of projects with a strategic vision.
- Preferred certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar credentials.
