Role Overview
This full-time, onsite position based in Singapore requires the Project Engineer to assist in planning, coordinating, and managing construction activities. The role involves collaboration with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure adherence to design specifications, safety protocols, quality norms, and regulatory obligations. Key duties include supervising project progress, preparing technical documentation, resolving site challenges, coordinating materials and manpower, and supporting cost and schedule management. Additionally, the position entails performing inspections, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards, and contributing to process improvements within construction operations.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with building projects in Singapore, preferably familiar with ArchiWorks.
- Competence in project coordination, site management, scheduling, resource allocation, and monitoring progress.
- Ability to accurately prepare and evaluate technical documents, reports, and method statements.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork with multidisciplinary stakeholders such as consultants, contractors, and on-site staff.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle site issues safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of Singapore’s construction-related building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Proficiency in engineering and construction software like MS Office and project management tools, with BIM or CAD knowledge preferred.
- Dedication to workplace safety, quality assurance, and ongoing professional growth.
