About the Role
Our client is a prominent public sector organisation within Ireland's higher education and research sector, looking for a Programme Manager on a six-month fixed-term basis. This hybrid role based in Dublin offers a strategic leadership opportunity to contribute to national education initiatives at an Assistant Principal pay grade.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee strategic programmes and projects from start through completion.
- Support policy and strategy development related to education, research, and capacity building.
- Manage application, assessment, and evaluation processes for programmes and funding schemes.
- Review external stakeholder submissions and provide detailed analysis and recommendations.
- Administer programme budgets and maintain financial control for optimum use of public funds.
- Produce quality reports, briefings, presentations, and communications for stakeholders.
- Establish and nurture relationships with senior education and government stakeholders.
- Drive cross-functional projects aligned with organisational priorities.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience in programme or project management.
- Background in public sector, higher education, research, or policy environments is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and information.
- Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Capable of managing several priorities effectively within strict timelines.
- Experience handling budgets and financial processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in leading teams and promoting continuous improvement.
- Holds a relevant third-level qualification.
