Role Overview
Join Delta Air Lines' Reservations team during an exciting transformation phase focused on redefining customer service experiences and innovating how employees learn and grow. This Program Manager position is key to developing and executing a scalable content strategy across the learning portfolio, driving innovative learning solutions from onboarding to leadership development.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-divisional stakeholders to identify and deliver scalable learning content aligned with business priorities, including onboarding and continuous skills development.
- Perform needs assessments to uncover gaps in skills and knowledge, advancing plans that address those shortcomings.
- Lead strategy development and operational execution for a content framework emphasizing microlearning, reusable assets, and user-generated content.
- Set standards, governance models, workflows, and criteria for creating, maintaining, and reusing educational materials effectively and consistently.
- Implement diverse instructional methods spanning digital learning, classroom programs, job shadowing, coaching, and AI-assisted tools.
- Partner with teams measuring learning effectiveness to refine content and instruction based on data-driven insights.
- Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders to anticipate evolving business needs and integrate emerging L&D trends.
- Coordinate with external vendors to procure impactful, efficient learning solutions when necessary.
- Champion the exploration and adoption of AI technologies to enhance content creation, scalability, and operational efficiencies.
- Work alongside the Learning Design team and stakeholders to craft sustainable and impactful educational experiences.
- Coach team members in adopting scalable content development processes and uphold high standards.
- Maintain safety-conscious behavior throughout all operational activities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years in training, program management, learning design, or related corporate L&D roles.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives from conception to completion.
- Deep understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design methodologies, and learning strategy development.
- Experience building and managing scalable content or learning frameworks.
- Strong consulting skills to translate organizational needs into effective learning solutions.
- Independent and team-oriented work capabilities managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent writing, editing, design, and communication skills.
- Adaptability to fast-paced, project-centric environments coupled with strong organization and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Consistent prioritization of safety, security, privacy, and inclusion in workplace behaviors.
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent and legal authorization to work in the U.S. with a minimum age of 18.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Organizational Development, Business Administration, HR, Communications, or related fields preferred; advanced degrees highly valued.
- Background in performance consulting and creation of microlearning strategies or reusable content repositories.
- Experience governing user-generated content and employing AI tools in content design and operations.
- Skilled in project management and external vendor relations.
- Proficiency with authoring tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Ability to produce analytics, reports, or dashboards assisting portfolio management and prioritization.
- Demonstrated knowledge of usability principles in content development.
