Role Overview
Join McCain Foods in Carberry, Manitoba, as a full-time Production Operator. Key Responsibilities
- Adhere strictly to good manufacturing practices in all tasks.
- Support initiatives aimed at continuous improvement within the production facility.
- Accurately measure and document equipment settings.
- Apply all facets of Operator Asset Care (O.A.C.) within your work area consistently.
- Complete cleaning and inspection checklists for production lines regularly.
- Maintain sanitation standards, including cleaning scales, sweeping floors, and disposing of damaged product waste appropriately.
- Operate production machinery efficiently to produce products meeting quality standards; promptly report any equipment issues to supervisors.
- Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of all production records.
- Record production data and input information into computer systems.
- Conduct thorough clean-up and shutdown procedures, involving deep cleaning, sweeping, air hosing, chemical application, and high-pressure cleaning on designated lines.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Physical and Functional Requirements
- Ability to push and pull equipment and materials, such as poly rolls, hoses, waste containers, pallets, and cases.
- Capable of lifting weights between approximately 25 and 44 pounds up to six feet high.
- Comfortable with stair and ladder use as required by the job.
- Frequent bending, crouching, standing for extended durations, and continuous walking throughout shift.
