About the Role
Join Taura Natural Ingredients, a global leader in functional fruit product manufacturing, and part of IFF, a pioneer in flavors, fragrances, and food ingredients. Located in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand, we are seeking motivated Production Operators to contribute to our world-class production team. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality control testing and support equipment calibration tasks.
- Safely and efficiently operate various processing equipment.
- Manage automated packaging machinery and execute packing duties.
- Utilize forklifts for material transportation as necessary.
- Prepare and mix ingredients for production processes.
- Create labels and perform basic computer operations.
- Assist the Shift Manager with specific operational responsibilities.
Candidate Profile
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
- Team-oriented and positive attitude that fosters collaboration.
- Energetic, physically fit, and proactive in daily tasks.
- Aspirations for career development within manufacturing.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing, particularly plant-based production, is advantageous.
Working Conditions and Shift Details
The plant operates Sunday 6pm through Friday 6pm in 12-hour rotating shifts: 6am–6pm (day) and 6pm–6am (night). The rotation includes two weeks on night shifts and three weeks on day shifts with scheduled weekday offs during days.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting hourly wage: NZD 28.30 per hour.
- Additional night shift allowance: NZD 5.00 per hour.
- Opportunities to advance into positions such as Quality Control Operator, Loading Operator, and Process Operator based on experience.
