Job description
Role Overview
This position involves comprehensive ownership of two out of four product lines on the platform, requiring active engagement with end users and stakeholders, synthesizing diverse feedback into strategic priorities, and guiding the product from conception through release. It's not focused on solely documentation or coordination but demands full responsibility for outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage directly with users through focus groups and stakeholder meetings to understand real-world product usage.
- Analyze inputs from sales, support, feature requests, and analytics to identify meaningful development priorities.
- Own and prioritize the roadmap, backlog, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria for assigned product lines.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Delivery teams in two-week sprint cycles, assessing completed work against defined criteria.
- Brief and partner with the shared design team to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Define success metrics upfront and evaluate the impact of product releases honestly.
Candidate Profile
- 3 to 7 years of experience managing products or acting as a Product Owner, with proven end-to-end ownership beyond basic backlog maintenance.
- Demonstrated ability to independently conduct user research and manage product backlogs to delivery.
- Adept at eliciting insights from users without directing conversations.
- Capable of drafting clear, precise requirements that minimize rework and willing to reject substandard outputs.
- Regularly utilizes AI tools in research, documentation, analysis, and product decision-making workflows.
- Keen sensitivity to simplicity in design, aiming for intuitive products that serve typical end-users over advanced power users.
- Integrates user data privacy as a foundational design principle rather than a post-compliance consideration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within SaaS environments.
- Familiarity with product analytics.
- Comfort briefing and collaborating with shared design teams.
