Role Summary
The Product Analyst plays a vital role in ensuring that product development aligns with business goals and delivers maximum value. This position involves close collaboration with stakeholders and development teams to manage the product backlog, prioritize work, and guarantee the timely and high-quality delivery of essential features. The analyst represents the customer's perspective within the teams and supports the product vision in coordination with product leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and consolidate product requirements from various stakeholders into clearly defined, prioritized backlog tasks.
- Maintain and continuously refine the product backlog, incorporating user stories with precise acceptance criteria.
- Engage in sprint planning by prioritizing backlog items, setting goals, and guiding the development team throughout sprints to ensure effective value delivery.
- Support progress tracking and assist in resolving blockers or dependencies that arise during development.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to monitor dependencies, clarify scope, and provide support during the product lifecycle.
- Manage post-launch activities by overseeing smooth transitions, resolving pending items, and coordinating with support teams for maintenance and new feature requests.
- Collect user feedback and document lessons learned to facilitate ongoing product improvements.
- Utilize both qualitative and quantitative data to assess product performance and identify opportunities for enhancements.
- Create detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, and define quality standards including the definitions of done and ready.
- Maintain consistent communication with all relevant stakeholders to address their needs and interests effectively.
- Coordinate activities with clients and internal teams to align software support and project implementation efforts.
- Lead problem-solving initiatives from start to finish ensuring all readiness and completion standards are met.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Deep insight into user behaviors and needs, paired with strong business product knowledge.
- Proven ability to translate user insights into valuable and actionable product features.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Experience in backlog management and formulating user stories.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions, negotiate, and organize effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Background in product development and management.
- Comprehensive understanding of the relevant business domain, products, and services.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
