Role Overview
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and facilitating procurement operations specifically related to Greenfield and Brownfield Parenteral pharmaceutical projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and acquire injectable manufacturing equipment, packaging lines, HVAC systems, cleanroom components, utility machinery, and laboratory instruments.
- Lead vendor identification, manage requests for quotations (RFQs), perform technical and commercial assessments, select suppliers, and negotiate contracts.
- Ensure procurement and delivery schedules are met to align with project timelines, installation, and commissioning plans.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Quality, Validation, Supply Chain, and other relevant departments to support seamless project delivery and milestone achievement.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while pursuing cost-saving opportunities, value engineering, and vendor development programs.
- Ensure all procurement practices adhere to company policies, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
- Work cooperatively within a results-driven, cross-functional team environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology; an MBA in Supply Chain or Operations is advantageous.
- Practical experience managing project procurement for Parenteral pharmaceutical manufacturing and large-scale expansions is essential.
- Proficient with SAP/ERP systems.
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination abilities.
- Good knowledge of injectable production technologies and pharmaceutical project requirements.
- Experienced in handling complex procurement processes in regulated pharma settings.
- Capable of performing effectively in fast-paced environments with multiple concurrent priorities and tight deadlines.
