Role Overview
As a Process Technician, you will prepare wafers for experimental procedures, operate reactor systems to conduct thin film processes, and utilize scanning electron microscopes for detailed imaging and analysis. You will document process conditions along with experimental data, conduct routine maintenance on equipment, assess wafers and thin films, and prepare cross-section samples for microscopic study. Your role supports troubleshooting, optimization, and maintenance of manufacturing processes to improve productivity and quality.
Core Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with engineers in developing advanced CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) and PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) process technologies.
- Perform fundamental recipe checks and chemical handling troubleshooting during runs, implementing adjustments based on engineer guidance.
- Take ownership of executing module processes, gathering measurement and inspection data, and sharing findings with engineering teams.
- Liaise with internal and external chemical handling and metrology tool owners to coordinate tool usage times, execute process sequences, and collect feedback data.
- Occasionally work overtime to support engineering process activities.
Candidate Requirements
- Willingness and ability to work rotating shifts including day, afternoon, night, or overnight schedules.
- A foundational understanding of semiconductor processes is advantageous.
- Experience operating semiconductor equipment will be considered favorably.
- Previous technician experience in process technology within cleanroom or fabrication areas specializing in CVD, PVD, ALD, or similar techniques is a plus.
