Job Overview

The Porter role at Jetro Restaurant Depot involves maintaining cleanliness and safety across key warehouse areas to protect employees and customers. This includes managing spills and hazards, performing routine cleaning duties, and ensuring compliance with sanitation standards and company hygiene protocols.

Key Duties

• Perform sweeping and cleaning of interior and exterior premises of the warehouse.
• Maintain cleanliness in all restrooms located within the facility.
• Clean windows, doors, and the coffee break areas as required.
• Manage and maintain trash receptacles throughout the premises.
• Operate equipment such as the trash compactor, cardboard baler, and floor scrubbing machines when necessary.
• Address and clear any spills within the warehouse promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness of the employee break room according to a set schedule.
• Support aisle cleaning activities in coordination with department managers.
• Verify and uphold all HACCP-related sanitation guidelines and complete cleaning logs daily.
• Undertake additional tasks assigned by the branch manager, including minor painting, cleaning wet pallets, and basic lighting maintenance.

Qualifications and Skills

• Effective communication abilities.
• Basic knowledge of sanitation practices and standards.
• Familiarity with operation of floor machines, balers, and compactors is advantageous.
• Physical capability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
