Role Overview

Globe Anew is seeking a remote volunteer Podcast Video Editor. This position involves transforming recorded interviews into refined and polished podcast episodes and clips. It is ideal for candidates passionate about podcast editing, storytelling through interviews, global issues, education, or media driven by young people.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit interview or podcast video recordings into clean final versions.
• Enhance pacing, make precise cuts and smooth transitions while maintaining the authentic voice of the guests.
• Adjust and balance basic audio levels as necessary.
• Add captions or subtitles when provided with the source text.
• Organize introductory and concluding segments effectively.
• Apply subtle visual improvements to footage.
• Export finished videos suitable for platforms such as YouTube and social media.
• Maintain well-organized episode file management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience editing videos related to interviews, podcasts, documentaries, educational, or social content.
• Proficiency with video editing software such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalents.
• Strong focus on pacing, clarity, caption accuracy, and storytelling coherence.
• Capability to work autonomously and incorporate feedback effectively.
• Portfolio, reel, or samples that demonstrate editing skills, if available.
