Role Overview
ASGC is seeking a senior Civil Planning Engineer to lead planning and scheduling across major construction projects in Dubai. This role partners closely with project directors, senior leaders, and clients to keep delivery on track and support informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of planning and scheduling activities for large-scale construction projects.
- Prepare strategic updates and executive-level progress reports for project directors, senior management, and client stakeholders.
- Guide and develop the project planning team so that their work stays aligned with delivery goals.
- Lead the preparation of extension-of-time submissions, delay assessments, and recovery programmes.
- Review and sign off baseline, recovery, mitigation, and updated project schedules.
- Build and manage resource plans, performance indicators, and cash flow forecasts for projects.
- Coordinate the integration of subcontractor schedules into the master construction programme.
- Assist with project close-out, including final completion documentation and lessons learned.
Requirements
- At least 8 to 10+ years of planning experience on large building and high-rise construction projects.
- Previous senior-level planning experience with a main contractor.
- Strong capability in leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder coordination.
- Solid understanding of construction contracts, delay analysis, and claims handling.
- Advanced user of Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Excel.
- Deep knowledge of construction planning techniques and the Critical Path Method (CPM).
