Role overview
This part-time, remote position in the United States is part of the People Operations team and reports to the Director of People Operations. It is a senior individual contributor role focused on supporting employee relations, workforce planning, compliance work, policy administration, organizational communications, operational readiness, and broader business initiatives.
The role calls for more than technical HR capability; it requires sound judgment, professionalism, integrity, discretion, and the ability to do the right thing even when issues are difficult or unpopular. The selected person will act as a trusted partner to the Director of People Operations and help guide decision-making across employee relations, workforce strategy, project rollouts, compliance, and operational priorities.
Work schedule and location
The job is fully remote within the United States and is intended to support Pacific Time business hours. The expected workload is about 20 to 25 hours per week. Core working hours are generally 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time, Monday through Friday, with weekends required as needed. Occasional schedule changes, extended hours, or limited weekend coverage may be necessary depending on operational demands, project launches, organizational priorities, or employee relations matters.
Key responsibilities
- Handle employee relations issues and workplace concerns with care and discretion.
- Carry out investigations, gather facts, and review supporting documentation.
- Evaluate policies, procedures, corrective actions, and internal workforce communications.
- Support compliance reviews, audits, and wider organizational initiatives.
- Spot possible risks related to employee relations, hiring, compliance, and day-to-day operations.
- Take part in project launches and workforce readiness planning.
- Work with recruiting teams on workforce planning and hiring activities.
- Help develop policies and prepare organization-wide communications.
- Contribute to leadership discussions and workforce planning efforts.
- Offer practical recommendations and insights tied to people and operations matters.
- Serve as a reliable People Operations partner across the organization.

Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related discipline.
- At least seven years of progressive experience in Human Resources, People Operations, Employee Relations, Compliance, Workforce Administration, Talent Acquisition, or a similar area.
- Solid experience handling employee relations matters.
- Background supporting leaders and executive stakeholders.
- Strong business writing and communication abilities.
- Experience identifying workplace, compliance, or operational risk.
Preferred experience
- Exposure to multinational workforce environments.
- Experience supporting project launches and organizational change efforts.
- Experience in a high-growth business setting.
Benefits and compensation
The hourly pay range is USD 27.00 to USD 30.00, depending on experience. Benefits include 401(k) eligibility after the applicable waiting period, short-term disability coverage, and PTO plus sick leave in line with applicable state and local laws.
Probationary period
This role includes a 90-day probationary period.
