Overview

We are seeking a seasoned People Manager to become a vital part of our People team. This multifaceted position involves close collaboration with managers company-wide, overseeing daily people operations, and shaping policies and processes essential for our upcoming growth phase.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and enhance the onboarding and offboarding procedures to ensure a positive employee experience.
  • Manage employment and contractor agreements alongside related documentation.
  • Coordinate with Employer of Record (EOR) providers to support an international workforce.
  • Maintain HR processes that balance compliance, efficiency, and employee-centric approaches.
  • Provide trusted guidance to managers on people-related matters, including assisting in challenging conversations and employee relations.
  • Support managers leading fully remote teams through coaching on performance, engagement, and team development.
  • Administer performance review cycles and aid in designing career progression frameworks.
  • Champion learning and development activities and help manage compensation and benefits reviews to ensure internal equity.
  • Develop and refine HR policies, documentation, and internal workflows to scale People Operations effectively while minimizing bureaucracy.
  • Identify automation opportunities and continuously suggest improvements beyond procedural execution.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or as an HR Business Partner.
  • Background in a rapidly growing startup or scale-up environment.
  • Experience managing internationally distributed teams and liaising with EOR providers.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the complete employee lifecycle and UK employment law.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously with a proactive mindset and excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience with international relocations and immigration processes.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms like Rippling, HiBob, BambooHR, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with remote-first organizational culture and practices.
  • Based in the UK or substantial experience within the UK HR framework.
