About the Role
Located in Frankfurt, you will take ownership of payroll management within an international corporate services environment. As a key contributor to our People & Culture team, you ensure accurate, timely payroll processing for employees based in Germany and Austria, fully complying with all pertinent legal regulations. Your work involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders, external service providers, and government agencies while actively contributing to the enhancement of payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute and coordinate the monthly payroll for Germany and Austria
- Provide advisory support to employees and management, and act as the primary contact for external partners on payroll-related matters
- Ensure compliance with employment, tax, and social security legislation, including managing reporting and certification obligations
- Oversee and administer employee benefits programs
- Prepare statistics, key figures, and monthly reports in partnership with the Finance department
- Support preparation and implementation of wage tax and social security audits
- Participate in both international People & Culture projects and ongoing payroll process improvements
Candidate Profile
- Completed relevant degree focusing on payroll, human resources, or finance
- Several years of professional experience in payroll accounting within Germany
- Extensive knowledge of wage tax and social security laws
- Structured, meticulous, and service-oriented work style with keen attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel
- Excellent communication skills in both German and English, spoken and written
Additional Advantages
- Experience with international payroll processes or global HR structures
- Familiarity with SAP HCM or comparable HR/payroll systems
- Background in consultancy, professional services, or international companies
- Knowledge of compensation and benefits management
- Experience implementing or improving payroll systems
